How to Read Twenty Books a Year Without Trying

Twenty books a year sounds like a lot. It is not. It is less than two books per month.

The secret is to always have a book going. Keep one in your bag, one by your bed, and one on your phone. When you have a spare ten minutes, read. Waiting for coffee, read. On the train, read. Before sleep, read.

Stop reading books you do not enjoy. Life is too short. If a book does not grab you in fifty pages, put it down. There are millions of books. Read the ones you love.

Audiobooks count. Listen while driving, cooking, or walking. You absorb information differently but you still absorb it.

Read multiple books at once. A fiction, a non fiction, and a collection of essays. Switch between them based on your mood.

The goal is not to finish books. The goal is to read. Finishing is a side effect.
